I drill a set of holes in my cookie for zero vis recognition, in addition to a sharpie marking.
I put a small strip of self-adhesive Velcro tape on mine. Easier than drilling holes. I also write my initials on them.

I think ,most of us would disagree. There is a very very big difference between a personal cookie and an arrow or rem with distance markings. A cookie in a cave that’s not yours should be no different than a rock. Cool to look at but means nothing to you.new cave diver here. I'd suggest it would not be a good idea to write a number as a personal identifier, because it could be confused as a distance measurement. if anyone disagrees, I'd be happy to be wrong - In general, I prefer to ID my stuff with a 3 digit number

Here’s how I customized my cookies and REMs. I went on a dive with another guy with my initials and we both had white cookies with a notch filed in them. Those stripes are Spurs colors, BTW.new cave diver here. If someone is looking at a cookie and interpreting anything from my scribbles that's a really big mistake. Cookies and REMs (should) have zero meaning to anyone but the owner and buddies.new cave diver here.
