I use Mares Avanti Superchannel open heel fins. They are fantastic, literally propelling me wherever I want to go. What I like best, however, is their color--tomato red and black, and they change color with depth. Cool:cool2:

Scubapro Jet Fins with original rubber straps. Combined with my boots, they are neutrally buoyant in sea water. They have power and fine control. Absolutely the best fins I've ever tried.

I use Duck Feet when diving vintage, they are almost as good as Jets.

Why did I just sing that to myself?

Damn you RJP!!!!!

Ohh for fins. No need for stinkin fins. Get you one of these.

Scuba Pro Twin Jets-Black, and spring straps. The Black fins are stiffer than the gray.
I had been using USD Blades, but my knees were not happy with them, so I switched.

Mares X-stream...black :)

I have a pair of Body Glove full foot paddle fins I use for snorkeling. They're nothing special, so I don't remember the model name. They are lightweight and fine for snorkeling. For diving, I started out with a pair of US Divers Rocket fins, which I bought at a garage sale along with my original mask and snorkel. They were not good for snorkeling for me.. made my legs hurt.

I tried them for diving but they seemed a little bit... stiff or something, although I felt like I liked the overall shape. I read on SB that the Scubapro Jets were similar but better (better channels and less "board like"), so I bought a pair on eBay and that's what I'm still using. They have rubber heel straps.

A side bonus of them is that it's easy to walk around on the boat.... forward even... because the blades are shortish. I'm not sure I would choose them if I mostly flutter (scissor?) kicked, but since I've always swum breast stroke and preferred the frog kick for surface swimming, I tend to frog kick most of the time diving too.

I need to work on/learn more about/flutter or scissor kick, and for that I would love to try a set of free-diving fins for SCUBA diving.

I generally use long freedive fins if at all possible.

I have my 40 year old jet fins, some great Swimmaster fins, a number of Mares good designs.

These days I use our Bio-fin XT model, stiff enough for frog, back kicks etc, with the modern split fin technology.

I have a set of SP Seawing Nova and they have been great. I have had them in heavy currents,etc... And not much leg strain too when kicking and they are very fast with good power.
