Free to a good home is probably not a bad idea. A Dive computers for 25 bucks will probably sell because it can be a cheap solution for a Newbie or a cheap back up. some of the stuff might find a home, lead weights, dive knives, fins fall into the "can never have enough spares" category. Regulators never expire, they just stop making replacement parts.

I saw an add on Craig's list a few years ago for a free diving leads. He just put it at the end of his driveway to be claimed. I got about 20 lbs from that. Some I remelted, some I kept as is. A little table with a "free" sign might find someone that can either use or repurpose old gear.

Old wetsuits make great packing materials. Lots of things I ship are wrapped up in old wetsuits.

some old bcds/dive computers can be novelty items that at least someone will take off your hands so might as well as list them and see, but otherwise you are looking at recycling at best or trash at worst

old wetsuits and neoprene items can be recycled or donated

Retiring from diving. What to do with old gear? I've searched the boards and not found answers.

Have it listed for sale locally with no takers. One family member wanted some newer stuff but... what to do wtih 40-year-old BCDs and 20+ year old computers and old wetsuits?
Have you considered donating it to Dive Heart?

You have 40 year old BCDs and who knows how old the wetsuits are (old neoprene gets stiff) and people are suggesting you give this ancient stuff to a charity that works with disabled divers? Sheesh. 🙄 That’s just wrong.
