I was thinking of getting a Horthian Harness or a OMS comfort harness. I read that some people like the single piece harnesses as well. I am going to try the BP/W route but I am still confused what to get after reading soo many different opinions. Thx to everyone who helped out. Is the doughnut wing better for singles?
thx

Hi GLOBALflyer,

I was and still am looking for a good BP/W for my girl should she decide that she likes diving.

I've actually nailed the setup to a Bikini Babe Al back plate LOL! a Oxycheq 30 signature wing w/ a plate pad.

As for what is suitable for you a doughnut wing is better for singles rather than doubles in terms of trim but if you have buddies who are using the BP/W setup, give them a try b4 deciding.

Cheers,

SangP

I don't personally have anything against the BP, its the weight belt I can't stand. The XSscuba might resolve that issue for me, but to me it still seems like a weight belt.

The one issue I do have with a BC is cold water salt diving, where you have to have a lot of weight. Many of the BCs on the market simply won't comfortably hold the weight you need. There is also the issue of putting it on, not a problem when you set it on something like a table or tail gate, its another if you have to pick up off the ground and put it on.

I'll probably be moving to Seattle in another two years and I'm going to have to work out something because my Zeagle Concept II just isn't comfortable with 36 lbs of weight. For warm water or fresh water, its not a problem.

Of course different underwear would probably help too.

Bob.
