Don't try to overhead dive on the cheap. Save up for the right tools for the job or buy them incrementally. So I'd 3rd or whatever going for the AL40. But stay out of the wrecks until you've aquired the training to run line, follow it blind, and all the other knowledge peices needed to minimize overhead risks. We lose divers all the time for exceeding their training, don't be a cheap statistic.
