There are many fine regulators out there. I don't think you would be disappointed in any model from the middle of any line on up. That said, I will not buy ScubaPro or Aqualung products because of what I feel are their anticompetitive marketing schemes, especially when there are so many fine regulators out there that are as good (or better) and are available at significantly lower prices.

OK, if I had to go out and buy a regulator tomorrow morming what would I get? There's no question in my mind: an Oceanic EOS.

Atomic Aquatics T2. $1500
Atomic Aquatics ST1 $899
Atomic Aquatics B2 $725
Atomic Aquatics Z2 $439

Always start with the best when considering your dive gear purchase.

You forgot the M1. I dive the M1 primary/T2 octo with a Z2 on my pony bottle. Thinking about upgrading the M1 to a T2 for absolutely no good reason other than saving the M1 for a high oxygen mix stage bottle. My M1 is rock solid and is bone dry upside down (looking for lobsters).

I'm new here and saw this thread about regs. Maybe someone can help me.
I'm using a Scubapro MK20 with a G-200B second stage. This is the only reg I've ever used. It works great, so far no complaints.
A guy I know that has been into diving since the early 60's gave me an old Aqualung Conself XI
Can this reg still be rebuilt and used? Is it worth it?
He also gave me a whole gang of steel 72's.

The Conshelf line were real workhorse regulators, well worth rebuilding and diving.

If I could get it serviced in this market, so would I.

The Titan LX is also as adjustable as the Legend LX--you just need to take the cover off by the venturi adjust lever and use a hex key... Simple procedure to adjust your breathing--you just can't do it while you're diving. Great reg for little $$$.

Actually there are 2 options here. If one absolutely, positively thinks he needs an adjustment knob, the adjustment knob from the Legend LX can be fitted to the Titan LX second stage. Except for cosmetics, both second stages are identical.

Or, leave the plastic cap off and carry a hex key in one's pocket (I always have one in my save-a-dive kit). This can easily be done during a dive. I use this option, but only after a new 2nd stage seat had been fitted which might require a bit of tweaking.

Leisurepro's current price of $175 with free shipping, makes this reg a super deal.

Guys, a big thanks to all of you for your opinions and comments. It's so helpful to see/read all the different perspectives. Interestingly enough, I work 1 mile from Leisurepro, but I will be making this purchase through my local shop. I'll mention the $175 and see what he can or will do.
I am so dang excited about getting this equipment, I know when it comes in I'll be sitting in front of the TV watching Treasure Hunters or something with the reg in my mouth just itching to dive!
Thanks again to all of you!
