You're probably right; no "chrome" around the front/purge cover for one thing. I have a G250 (had a few in my time actually) but never dived a 250V. I assume that they not too different.

So...maybe a better 2nd than the g260. Too bad no one has ever discussed the merits of SP's various 2nd stages (S600, G260, G250V etc.) on this site!
