What quality setting do you shoot at?

In addition to that test, you might want to test a crop as many times you will need to crop for one reason or another. Take your best results from the original test, crop 10%, 25% (very reasonable especially for underwater work) and 50%. Reprint at 8x10...see what works.
 
with the 5060 i shoot at highest resolution 25-something-or-other in 3:2 format with best quality jpeg. never bother shooting raw as it's just too slow between shots. slam in 1.25Gb of storage (!gb CF + 256Mb xD) so number of shots isn't an issue. this amount of memory also allows me to shoot loads of 'video' as well. the major plus side is i only need open the housing after every 2nd or 3rd dive.
