Shearwaters usually aren’t discounted unless it’s something like your thing.

Yep, all dive gear is the same, stupid expensive. Without sounding like a conspiracy theorist, it certainly serves Japans retail industry having such low levels of English.
 
To protect their own scuba industry?
No wonder so many of them are using their own brands.
SP should produce scale down version(size wise) of eg. G260 in either white or pink colour for sell as "limited edition" in Japan. No other colour would do for the female market and with matching console and hoses as well.
 
gull already does white and pink gear a lot already with tabata not far behind
