the thing hogs is that they are made by ODS, which has a long history and makes regs for many many companies, Hollis, Dive Rite, etc. If something were to happen to HOG, since ODS won't go under any time soon, they will still have all of the parts, and since the D1 especially is a relatively old design, there is no real concern about HOG being a young company and going under and parts not becoming available, it just isn't anything worth worrying about.
Halcyon Single Tank Regulator System #1 | Extreme Exposure
Keep that in mind while you're buying, take note it is actually a MK25/G250V with an R380/390/395 for the secondary and it comes with hoses, spg, bag, clips etc. I hate recommending Halcyon as a value proposition, but it comes out of the same factory, Tabata, manufactured to the same specs, and Halcyon is a MUCH better company to send money to than Scubapro. Scubapro is owned by Jarden, an $8 Billion dollar company that owns a whole slew of brands and doesn't actually care about their consumers. Halcyon is owned by a bunch of cave diving gurus in the middle of nowhere in Florida, LITERALLY running the company out of a garage, it's nice garage, but it's still a garage. Think the places where you see auto body shop next to machine shop next to whatever type place. It's pretty cool, and Extreme Exposure is right down the road, Cora et al down there are really cool people. Halcyon is the real Ferrari of the scuba world *overpriced, but really bloody nice*. Not trying to steer you in any direction, but if you're set on the MK25, I would recommend going Halcyon if the G250V second stage isn't offensive to you instead of going with the S600, you'll also come out cheaper since the hoses and SPG are thrown in, even if that shop does 10% lower than Leisurepro, plus you save sales tax....

Pair of MK25/S600's in yoke for $550 each, can probably talk him down to $1k for the pair of them. Buy both and you have a pair of matching single tank regs, they're already yoke, so you can buy the din conversion kit and learn to do it yourself, they're pretty cheap. Or just buy one and you have one for $550 all in.
