I received this strap/band with a few other dive items that didn’t sell at a neighbor’s moving/yard sale.

Never saw one like this. Ratcheting band with some adjustability. Sized such that it would fit a standard US sized tanks, which makes me think it’s a quick release tank band. Seems like it’s nowhere near as strong as a standard cam band. Ratchet mechanism is all plastic.

Anyone used something like this?

It's the upper band to help stabilize a single tank band system. They were often replaced with another tank band.

Thanks. That’s kind of what I thought. No use for me then as all my BCs are dual band.
