Hi all,

I just received my Hydros women's Xsmall-small BCD. I have questions about where should the waist band sit and the possibility to make should strap longer.

I'm 5'7" (170cm) 120lbs (55kg) with long torso short legs. When hiking, it's always a problem for me to find a backpack that fits both my small waist (25-26inches) and long torso. So come to the BCD, should the waist band sit on hip instead of waist, similar to a multi-day backpack?

I dive in cold water with dry suit, usually use steel tank with 24lbs weights. If the BCD's weight band can sit on top of hip, it can help carrying weights and will be good for my back and shoulder. Just like most hiking backpacks do.

But with my Xsmall-small Hydros pro, it sits slightly higher than top of hip, and slightly below my waist. And I feel I'm still using shoulders to carry all the weights, instead of hip. Is that how you feel it with your BCD? How can you adjust the strap to make it fit longer torso? I cannot go size up to Medium because it will be too large in width. And I've adjusted the should strap to its longest. I'm wondering if there is a shoulder strap extension that I can add 2 more inches to fit torso length.

Another general question: do you adjust the should strap on ground (make it longer to let BC sit on hip) vs in the water (tight it up to avoid shifting around)?

Thanks in advance!
