Hi All, I was advised by my instructor to get a wet suit as soon as I get certified or before. So I want a full body wet suit that won't break me I was looking for one in the $100 range. I was told we have alot of sea urchins where I live. I really like the Aqualung wetsuits but the only place I see that has them is in Austrelia? What do you guys suggest?

Perfect. I dive a 3 mil Mares suit in the summer and then switch to a 5 mil semi dry in the winter with a hood. This is a good suit to start with and later if you need a little more warmth get a hooded vest to wear under the suit.

This winter I'm switching to a dry suit. The longer I'm in Florida the colder the water seems to get. Guess I'm just getting spoiled with the warm water here. ;)

Go to Diver's Direct in West Palm Beach. They have descent prices on wetsuits.

I got a 3 mm farmer john and a 3mm long sleeve shorty. When I just wear the shorty I wear a skin under it to protect my legs from the knees down.

Sea Urchins should be a non-issue. If you have proper trim and bouynacy you should NEVER be on the bottom where they are at.

Is the size charts online really that accurate? I don't want to get the wrong size. I have looked at the ones at the LDS But really don't like them. But if I try them on will it be the same with other brands?

The best bet is to actually try the suit on before you buy. As Wendy said Divers Direct has some great 3 mil suits for about $100. Go try one on at the store and there won't be any problems with the fit.
