What is a dive snob?

I once had a dive buddy who was really into diving caves and wrecks. He once sat out on several dives during a trip to the Channel Islands because he claimed the fish kept obstructing his view of the structure.

He might have been a dive snob ... :D

If you have "secret" dive sites, you may be a dive snob.

I may have to part company with you on that one. Having "friends and family only" dive sites may be a privilege, but it is usually a guarded privilege for reasons other than conventional snobbery.
 
Most of the divers I know with secret spots try to keep them secret so they can take all the brass or lobsters for themselves. I understand keeping important archaeological finds or a galleon full of gold bars secret but those are few and far between. Most secret spots are simply secret because of greed.
