I'm with Bob . . . not sure there is anything I HAVEN'T forgotten at one time or another.

Top entries are: Forgetting my boots when going to do a dive with a fellow from Canada, and going to the shop and renting some, only to get back to the car and realize I had also forgotten my hood.

Forgetting my drysuit when hauling my boat to launch for a critical window of slack, and having to turn around and go home for it. (That was the beginning of the day I tried to sink the boat.)

Forgetting my boots and doing a dive in my drysuit and Crocs. That was better than the day I forgot my undergarments, and did a dive in the polarfleece stuff I keep in my dry bag to put on in case of floods. That was a short, cold dive!

Showing up for the first day of Cave 1 class and realizing my regulators were still in the condo (I'm not sure Danny's opinion of me ever recovered from that snafu).

I can't remember ever forgetting tanks, but I've shown up with empty ones.

I forgot to fill a tank once. I was already suited up when I turned the air on, so I did a 10 minute dive around 20 ft. and sent my buddies on without me. Fortunately I dive big tanks and the air I end a normal dive with is enough for something like that.

Yes, I logged it.

Once I forgot to replace a buckle on my weight harness. I had taken it off for some good reason and never put it back. I tied the ends together. Wouldn't have worked with a belt.

2 weeks ago, I mowed the lawn, cleaned the house, cleaned the pool, packed the dive gear, next morning hubby drove 3 hours to Lake Waaze to dive and I realized I forgot to take the boots off the dryer.....hmmmmmmmmm. Keith at Wazee sports to the rescue....10 minute drive to rent boots, still in the water before 10:30 am.....

My computer DOHO!!!!!

My drysuit was getting seals replaced and my buddy/hubby had just gotten a drysuit. He wanted to go out and learn to dive in the drysuit, so I agreed to dive wet. I hadn't been in my wetsuit in months, and had it put away separately from the rest of our dive gear. As we were packing up the car the night before, I mentioned that my wetsuit was in the back room and we still needed to grab it.

The next morning, we were heading out to the dive site about an hour away....when we got within five minutes of the site, I was like, "Oh crap, I forgot my stupid wetsuit!!!" I looked out back in the truck to make sure that we hadn't grabbed it (he thought he had, but we couldn't find it, so we turned around to go home). When we got home, I ran into the house to grab my wetsuit from the back room and it wasn't there....I couldn't find the stupid thing.

I came out to tell him that I couldn't find it and had no idea where it could possibly be....when he said, "I really thought I had grabbed it..." We searched the truck again, and there it was toward the bottom of the gear. I decided that something was telling me we shouldn't dive, so I called it and we went out the next weekend.

I hung my wetsuit up during my off-season and forgot it at the dive site. It usually stays in the crate with my other gear. I had to rent one at the diveshop up the road and the only one they had was the female owners personal suit. She said I hope you dont mind *** pockets and said I didnt. Back at the divesite I put it on and told my buddy I didnt see any so-called *** pockets. He busted out laughing and pointed out they were way lower than I was looking. She is in her 50's so it makes sense.

I forgot my DIN / A-clamp adaptor on a weekend trip to the Red Sea, fortunately the dive operation manager leant me his. (Now I always keep one in my reg bag)

i have several check sheets for tank mixes, psi, and mods

for the rest of the gear i have another check sheets and several pelican cases. once everything is checked off and packed securely, i tag the box. if i break the tag, i re-check it. i also have two sets of everything and while its heavy loading everything and cleaning it all it makes it nice not to have to worry about scrubbing a dive becuase i forgot something.

brett

My Nice Pair of gloves and a mask i think.... idk about the mask but i sure do miss those gloves!

Wetsuit.

Yesterday I drove 1 hour to a dive site to meet a dive buddy whom I had never met before (arranged the dive over SB). We started to gear up and I realized I had left my dry suit at home -- arrrggg . Luckily he lived close by and had his son bring a wet suit for me (temps were 72F..so OK).

So, has anyone else forgotten to bring critical gear to a dive ?
