What does "thermo" mean in the description of an isolation manifold?

I'm not sure who exactly manufactures them for XS Scuba, but they are XS Scuba branded valves and manifolds.

I've never heard of Weapons of Mass Destruction scuba.............but I like it.

Scuba companies have always been a little off when it comes to naming themselves. WMD, DUI etc...
 
I had started to reach that conclusion, but then I find "XS Scuba thermo" and some other uses of the term. Was trying to figure out if it is some licensed technology other than a brand.

XS Scuba distributes tank valves and manifolds made by "Thermo" and others made by XS Scuba. "Thermo" is a valve manufacturer (in the US I believe).
