Was wondering if any of you sbers knows what it takes to get a mooring line and ball installed. Costs, permits(?) etc. Found some good stuff yesterday that would be ideal for a shallow training spot (nice sand patch and healthy surrounding reef)

Could just do like they did on Kewalo pipe. Tie a rope of to something and put a milk jug on the end. I don't think they had to pay anything for that.

Thats realy the only way to do it.The "legal" way is impossable to do. Put it in and have solid GPS marks on it and leave it a little below the surface.

Well, I might need some surface support with a kayak (rockjock) to mark the sucker. Gotta do a little more exploring and find if there is a good spot to get a chain around. Otherwise, the sandpatch is a sweet spot to drop anchor...... Killjoy, when is that boat coming in?

Someone already bought the thing, it was on the market for a whole 2 day. I'm searching for another one now. Told the wife she can move back to Washington if she doesn't like it!!!
