Hey everyone just wondering what everyone does on there stops wheter it be tic tac toe listening to tunes or just plain chilling out :07:

Rock-paper-scissors, of course. :)

Of course! And also do valve shutdown drills occasionally, mostly fine-tune buoyancy control. In open water, we play around with the bluegill and feed bivalves to them.

Books....the kind of stuff that people read at airplanes, then forget such that you can stuff them in your carry-on when deplaning and then later in your drysuit pocket for deco.

It does add an interesting factor to dive-planning: one now has the choise of either planning the deco according to the bottom time or (my preference) planning the bottom time to ensure that I'll have the exact amount of deco required to finish the book....

And I am not even kidding....

i use the deco time to relax and "space out"/meditate/me time. i usually end up staring at my buddies. i was thinking about getting them supermodel masks so that at least it would be more enjoyable...

My deco stops are generally not stationary ones. I do multi-level dives with the last level being 15-20 ft, often for 10-30 minutes so I can video in the shallows. Of course not all dives are in areas with such sloping bottoms. If I'm in the kelp forest, I generally do my safety "stop" swimming in the kelp canopy at the same depth. Rarely do I do square profile dives with stationary safety stops such as when diving wrecks and other deep water destinations.

The sea is full of wonderful critters large & small; more of 'em are small than large. If you'll bring your focus in close, to the "sea snot" drifting by, you'll find that it is positively filled with fantastic fanciful fellows feeding and frolicking, pursuing their daily endeavors right before your eyes. There are underwater butterflies, creatures from outer space, fantastical monsters and delicate whisps alive! Many an amorphous blob will spring to shape and life when a finger is brought near. Larval octopus, squid and fish, and even free swimming larval stage critters we only think of as sessile abound.
Look close; don't miss this fantastic show around you.
WARNING! The show is captivating and can cause you to overstay a stop if you aren't careful :)
