I had my first drift dives in Cancun & Playa del Carmen. I was a bit nervous as I am not a fan of current. But it went great and the dives themselves were good, especially the C-55 off Cancun & the nearby reef.

I also successfully launched a DSMB in the Cancun drift dives. I note it as a small achievement as I had previously tried to launch in calm local NoCal water a couple of times and never managed it. Practice makes perfect.

I also find myself "leading" more dives locally. I guess I have become a more experienced diver, and some of my buddies have less experience.
