I guess it would have to be the type that can get a tank filled after a dive, wash the gear, open a bottle of beer, cook a bbq, change the tv station to the one with the cute guys in short shorts chasing 1 ball around 1 big oval - australian football i love the shorts, i mean the game..back to the house trained man, i mean dog...

hell i don't know,

i have a beautiful Indian Ring Neck Parrot who loves to go just about anywhere with me if i let him and he tells me i am sexy every morning and says give me a kiss babe. On the dog side we had when i was just a wee lass a gorgeous German Shepard and he was wonderful but high on the priority list everyday loads of walking and brushing his coat and stuff that now i just couldn't fit in to my day or week or even month i could manage a couple of times a year. But i love dalmations, and i have heard a lot recently about addopting ex greyhound racing dogs wonderful idea.

Springers are my favorite.

A friend of mine in Redondo Beach had a rotweiler who liked to swim with the sea lions. He couldn't understand why he couldn't go as deep and stay down as long as they could. :D

Mr Mares:
Its been done, I think in Florida???, the Dog had a perspex globe fitted over its head and was supplied with a constant flow of gas from a tank on the surface!!! :11:

Dog seemed to love it ;)

well, i know of at least one picture of a doggy in
full gear in a pool. not sure if they've tried it in the ocean:

that picture reminds me of the dog that dives, it was an old 80s movie.. i think the name was Benji or something like that??

have you guys heard of the Labradoodle?

it's a mix between a lab and a poodle (both smart dogs). since it's a lab mix, it
surely loves water

Lab's may love water, mine certainly does, but what they may not love is seeing their person go under water. I dunked my head once in the hot tub and immediatly had a lab in there with me trying to rescue me. I'd hate to see what he'd do if he saw me scuba dive....
