Well I finally get to go back in the water today..I get ready...and am really looking forward to getting in the water again.

So we get out there, I jump in, Roger passes me my camera....I make it to the line and notice my housing is fogging, now why would it fog?

....yup, you got it....it flooded.

Not gonna worry about the how or why...it just did. Who knows, might be connected to a problem I had with the housing a while back. Lucky for me I have a spare camera...but I might need a new housing too.

Anyway...after taking the camera back to the swimstep I go down...now picture this...the further down I go the clearer everything gets, I can make out the stern of the YO...I can see that there is a turtle, then two, then three...an eagle ray glides into view and there, resting in the sand a 5' white tip reef shark....I could of had all five of them in one picture

, on the other wreck I see the biggest Indian nudibranch I had ever seen...I see two...then a third...there were cushion star fish every where....and I didn't have my camera...

Then at the second dive site I just hang out near the boat and find the "shell" of a small slipper lobster...very cute....Then I find another dime :D so I swim a bit more and find not one, but two Titan Scorpionfish...I haven't seen one in over 3 years....now I find two...the larger of the two was about 18" long and about 6-7'' across the tummy...HUGE!!! and, you got it...I didn't have my camera...

..I go back to find the group and take them over to where I found the titans...and they had left but I found another one (a 3rd one!!!!!) and this one was a real looker....very clean, no growth on it - just a real handsome Titan...This one was about 15" long...He was sitting so still, watching me...and once again....I didn't have my camera...

Just not fair!!

Isn't that the way it is suppose to go? On our dive yesterday one of the guys left his camera in the bucket and I tried to hanb it to him- in which he said "no, I don't feel like taking it along on this dive". I really think I need to thank him, otherwise the seals might not have been there (LOL). How was the current at the YO? At least you got wet and had some great dives. Sorry to hear about your camera though. : (

Ain't it the thruth???

With luck like this I just my never take a camera with again!

(Little to no current at the YO...it was great even if the vis was "only" about 60-70 feet)

A similar law of nature causes whales and other large creatures to appear when you guys are set up for macro, and vice versa. :)

Or they appear right after you put your camera in the water bucket and don't have enough time to wipe the water spots off to get a good picture (which happened yesterday- 3 times).

Oh, sorry honey. really. Look at those little icons though.---You still have your sense of humor! Here is picture of my friend's camera.--does that make you feel mo bettah --or worse? Looking back, any lessons? They say it does happen. We will have to treat you to lunch tomorrow. We will have a good old fashioned "pity lunch", ok? with alcohol.

That's probably the main reason why I'm not into photography. It's expensive and I couldn't easily afford the repairs if my housing flooded.

Sorry, no alcohol for me - got to get back to work after - though heaven knows I could often benefit from a drink with lunch.

Thanks for the condolences ...the funny thing about it is..just as I was waking up this morning I dreamed I was diving with my mother (she can't swim, let alone dive)...there was cool stuff everywhere. I raise the camera to take a picture and it isn't in the housing!.....I should listen to my dreams..

Pity party sounds good...I guess I better leave the car at home...won't take much to get me rolling..lol
