Surfing wetsuits and especially wind-surfing wetsuits are bare-skin on the outside. These suits shed water very quickly thus reducing evaporative cooling...common with scuba suits if they are worn during the surface interval. I have often thought that would be one great advantage of using a wind-surfing suit for diving, greater warmth during the SI. But I do not know how well they would stand up to repeated exposure to pressure or the extra wear that would come from scuba use.
