Hi fellow Boarders,
Going to Key Largo over Xmas. Will a 3mm/Shorty be enough???? Was down last summer and 3mils seemed almost too much. Thx All.

Michael B.

Can't really sy about Xmas, but I was diving out of Largo this past January and the water was 69 degrees. Couple that with a cold front that had moved in and people were cold with 7mm suits hwne out of the water.

I was wearing a 5mm full suit and needed a little more over the body so I added a hooded vest. It made all the difference in the world.

It's a tough call sometimes and I'm not a Florida diver. It's a once in a while trip as I like places like Coz and Bonaire where the lows get to be almost 80 degrees.

drysuit all the way baby
