Has anyone had any problems with their Aeris or Oceanic octos spitting water? We initially had Aeris octos. When we first tested them in the water we found that they spit water when inhaling. We swaped them out for Oceanic and have the same problem. Any ideas?

I have experienced the same out of my Oceanic Alpha 7 but only at 132 I was way in the red so I figured it was beyond it's limits. If I'm upside down it does occasionally.

I noticed that my Oceanic Swivel breathed a little wet when I tested it in the pool. It was a pretty economical octo so I didn't have high expectations.

You may want to ask the question in the Oceanic forum and see if the Manufacturer's Reps. respond.

You don't state which models but the slimline alternate seconds of many brands are often described as "like breathing through a wet sponge".

For this reason many divers opt for a conventional design or even a top grade second detuned a tad to prevent untimely free flows.
