GOOD CALL LB....I'll give you $50 for it all

Hummmm, wonder how many people die while reading the paper...reading may should be banned as a dangerous activity.

Somewhere I saw a statistic that 2 people die each year from having vending machines fall on them. I also saw a report saying that between March 1982 and November 1996, there were 62 deaths and 49 injuries to children under 15 years of age associated with automatic garage doors and garage door openers.

I realize that just being on the internet doesn't make it proper research, but IF the statistics are true, diving has a better record than vending machines and garage doors.

I have seen dozens driving down the highway reading the paper and they somehow defy Mr. Reaper......I am not sure how though.

Yeah but because of 111 idiots who couldn't see or hear the garage door closing we now have idiot sensors on them!

I would not make such ignorant statements. It can be dangerous for kids as well as for adults that are occupied with other activities. Personally I have more things to do other than keeping track of all active moving parts of different automatic stuff in the house. People might not hear the doors for different reasons

so they have to create safety devices because you want to, as an example, trim your fingernails while standing under your garage door opening?
