I got PM from Allan at Underwater Digital this morning saying he'd finally gotten some S&S WAL L lenses in. And just in time for my trip to Florida next week. How's that for timing?

I'm really looking forward to using this lens. The only thing I've missed from my old MMII set-up is the 20mm wide angle lens, especially for wide angle close-ups. And a big plus is this lens can be used topside, too!

So I suppose the Fotoshow and new computer chair will just have to wait!

I may not get a change to try the lens before the trip but I'll post whatever results I get.

Now I'm really excited about this trip!

Nice going Dee!

Not sure I fully understand what you bought, but as I live vicariously through your photos, I can't wait for the results!

Tricia:)

The S&S WAL L lens is a wide angle lens which will let me take pics of those beautiful reef scenes and it not look f-a-r away! It will also work as a wide angle close up lens which means I can be 2 ft from that 5ft Grouper and still get all of him in the pic!

See why I'm excited??? :clapping:

I too took delivery today of my Epoque WAL (goes a bit wider than yours, and about $40 cheaper)

and a strobe, i went for the ds50 in the end as it copies exactly the metered flash for the oly 3040.

i am off to the southern red sea on the 30.08.02 and can't wait as this year is supposed to be the best for a long time in spotting BIG things!

Hi Dee, thanks for the pic of the scorpion fish it's fantastic, my next move is the wal i am still confused as to exactly how it works
I look forward to youd expieriences with the new equipment
Donald :)
