Friday:
P'Cola Beach, Old Pier Rubble - TERRIBLE viz, seas too high, couldn't find alledged recently uncovered reef. Probably not best to dive this area in 3-4ft seas :shakehead: burned one tank. May delete from dive log as I'd rather not remember this exercise in insanity. The upside was getting to practice some 0 viz navigation ;)

Saturday:
Navarre Pier - Less surf, surge and current than P'Cola, but viz was the same, perhaps worse. Scouted to the end of the first span, and viz was consistantly crap. Called this one before it really began, messed around in the surf for a few, and ended up burning about 900lbs of air.

Taken at Navarre (in the daytime) about 16-24" away:

Looks like you got a night and day dive in at the same time - how efficient :D.

Have you actually been on a good dive yet? One where you weren't bitten, beaten, pounded or in total darkness? ;)

You're forgetting about his Ft. Pickes dives.... Where he had some awesome Octopus encounters!

Heh, usually the difference between a good and bad dive (to me) is jellyfish. Friday at Pensacola was an exception. No jellyfish, but it was still a bad dive. My legs are still sore from kicking against that current :depressed: "Beaten, pounded or in total darkness" I can usually accept.

What the heck, you want it all? Great Viz, Great Marine life, no current, no waves, & No Jellyfish....... You're not asking for much!:rofl3:
