I am considering a trip down to the Carrabelle/Apalachicola area the weekend of October 7th, and was wondering if anyone here knew what the usual water temps are for that time of year?

Water temps should be in the mid to low 70's I would guess. As far as visibility that is another thing. You might be better off going to Panama City as the Apalachicola River pumps a lot of sediment into the Apalachicola Bay and surrounding area.
