There are two good sources online to get real time water temperature information for Cozumel. First, check out
Sea water temperature Cozumel today, yesterday and tomorrow. Cozumel sea surface temperature now. Cozumel average monthly sea temperatures. North America Mexico.
You can also use that site to check current water temps for pretty much any other dive location you are going to visit.
There is also a site for a NOAA weather buoy in the Yucatan Basin, Station 42056, which is located 120 nautical miles ESE of Cozumel - go to ndbc.noaa.gov and search for Station 42056. This Station provides hourly reports of air temps, water temps, wave height and period, wind speed and direction, etc. - basically complete weather info. The info may be a bit different than Cozumel, but the difference in 120 miles is not going to be great. Water temps should be within 2 degrees, plus or minus.
As of right now, the first site reports water temp. of 81 degrees F. The NOAA Station reports 81.3 degrees F
