Sounds like me and hubby (but don't repeat that :D), of course he's also a Michigander and I'm originally from So Cal.

Hmmmm, he's a Wolverine? You're a Trojan or Bruin? The fall season must be awfully loud at your house. Could be worse. You could've both been from the same conference. (Geez, I don't think physical law allows a Wolverine and a Buckeye to exist at the same time under the same roof without going critical-mass nuclear.)

Thankfully, he's only into pro sports, not college; and I was a Trojan, but hated it, so we avoided that hurdle!

It seems like the water is warming up late this year - I was still freezing during some dives a couple weeks ago. At first I thought it was because I'd worn my old wetsuit to death and it had been compressed to the point of no return - so I wore my brand new Xcel wetsuit. Nope, still freezing.

I've had to wear my hooded vest on all dives so far this spring - maybe I'll finally be happy when the water heats up to about 83 degrees. ;)

I'll be doing a couple dives in Catalina in a couple weeks - now the prospect of THAT water temperature has me a little concerned, as I'm such a WWW. :D

OK, I'm sitting here surfing the ABC Store website I'm so eager to get out of here.....
Two more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ABC Stores!?! Gad, you're hurtin' worse'n Al M. Try having a look-see at the Surfline webcams of Oahu; North Shore only but at least it's the ocean. More webcams are provided by the City & County of Honolulu http://www.co.honolulu.hi.us/cameras/index1.htm It's a little clou-sy today; drizzles off and on.

Only two days to go... You are so lucky. I have to wait another three months before I can go.

As for water temp, here is a good link with a colorized map representing worldwide average water temperatures. (Click Here)

I've been diving a .5 mm lately in Oahu, and I used to think i got cold easily. You'll probably be alright in a 3mm though.
