And yet, the County's website, from what I understand, says the waters are open. Anyone know the real story?

I did think it was very odd that the beaches were opened almost 2 days after double red flags. While, yes there is no large quantity of tarballs on the beach, it was covered before - and there are health risks. There are still tarballs on the beach and some oil in the water. Even if not seen at the surface in areas, I would have to figure it's all through it.

I imagine the toxicity levels should be published sometime soon. Didn't NOAA have a map of all the areas air toxicity levels?
