When I wear my semi-dry I shed about 10 pounds of weight. Also, there's no hassle worrying about leaks. However, I am warm in my drysuit with two undergarments; a Lycra one and a thininsulate one. My drysuit is a DUI CF200 crushed neoprene. I'm probably going to go ahead and keep using it, making sure my seals are adjusted correctly. The arms of this suit are a bit long, making it difficult to get the wrist seals just right. The neck seal is also a problem sometimes. I've had the suit looked at and the seals are fine. I weight 197 and I'm 5'9" plus I'm nearly 66, so staying warm is more difficult than it used to be. I dove wet until I was 60.

my undergarment is thinsulate so I don't think it can get any thinner. The Lycra is very thin.
