Oh, look, I believe my favorite Cheesehead Dive Buddy unwittingly captured an attack while it was occurring!

Churlish? Worse than that. I am the Curmudgeon.

The whole incident is over two local boys getting into it. Ego and money were involved. Less dangerous than the Sharks- their only beef was with each other.

My apologies :D for being off topic on this thread, but the whole thing makes my giggle. When an Instructor turns off another Instructor's valve, it is nothing but (almost kinda mildly) dangerous horseplay.

There are simpler and more certain ways to kill another diver, certainly known by most any tropical dive masters through true folklore.

This was ill-advised rough housing. JayT is now up to 9 lifetime posts (all on this thread), launching a career in Management of Public Perception of Unfortunate Incidents. I suggest you pick better paying clients and a different venue. The Honduran Police don't read SCUBABoard, and really don't care what publicity you generate... or if you can find the ñ key on your keyboard. Go enjoy the Salva Vida.

At least one of these dive leaders needs a time out and stern instructions to "play nice".

Next case.

Soon to be as famous as the Zapruder tape?!? :rofl3:

Happy to report everyones air remained fully on the whole dive. There were a couple Cannuks in the group though, with shifty eyes and funny beards, made me a little nervous.

Getting back to the topic of this "article" - it was a letter to the editor, NOT investigative reporting by the BIV. And, as RoatanMan mentioned the real take away from this issue were the aerial views of the golf course and the plans for the cruise ship docks. Those sure make you stop and think...

She's the victim. Does it materially change the story?
She's an anonymous accuser who claims to be a victim. Yes, that "materially changes the story". Mostly I'm just trying to figure out why you have a dog in this fight. Anyone who has all of nine posts in one thread is nothing but a sockpuppet. That's the downside of having SB exposed to the search engines...

5 says he is either a competitor or the "victim"

5 what? Lempiras or Dollars?

Ouch! That was good, rough, but still good. I think I'd like a smoke. Law student, sock puppet, fancy keyboard user - all very serious charges, people.

I follow several threads on Scubaboard. It is true that, to date, I have only posted to this one, but it was not my intention to stir up such rancor. I am familiar with attack incident, and many of the critical facts posted were initially incorrect. I don't care how the Honduran Justice system handles their case, and am confident that those who are interested in the story will be able to decide for themselves what occurred.

Maybe it looked like this. YouTube - Deep Sea Diver Attack

So, anyone hungry?

I think I'll check your menu thread.

It's Saturday Night and I'm hungrier than a Shark looking at a flailing Dive Master.
