W.I./Door County Diving

Planning a trip to Washington Island over Labor Day weekend. Is there a dive shop or charter that dives these sites? Gills Rock, maybe? I've dived a couple of wrecks up there before, from a small boat & from shore, but its been quite a while. I've mainly dived warm, clear, salt water recently with a couple of dives at Pearl Lake to remind me what cold water feels like. Any suggestions from GLWC divers would be appreciated.

Green Bay scuba might be able to give you some information. I'm not sure how far they go. If they don't go that far, they might recommend someone up there.

Jim is not running charters but his boat dose run a few, and there are several dive boats running out of his marina but call him for details.

Washington Island we love it and the folks but the cost of the ferry and then the prices having gone up on the Island has forced us to buy a place in Door county on the main land, But with over 40+ years going to the island lots of memories, and there is a wreck a bit of a swim for a shore dive off School House beach= the Louisiana its busted up from the shore out to about 20' of water and fish can be found last dive I ran head on to a northern.
The waters can be cool 40-50's deg but if you have the equipment they can be fun fun,
I will be diving the Frank O and Ocean Wave that weekend As we have a place out of Sturgeon Bay and always looking for some one to dive with.
