I've compaired the NDLs for my Vytec to the RDP values and it is true that in this regard the Vytec is conservative. Does the Vytec "off gas" you during SI in a more conservative manner as well?

I'm finally going on a real dive trip where I'll be trying to maximize bottom time and I want to know what to expect.

Off-gassing should be equivalent. Your big bonus in computer diving is that the computer recomputes your depth/time every 2 min. or so, so it is truly a multi-level dive. Also, on a deep dive (80+), once you ascend to 20-30 ft. you will be getting credit for off-gassing while you are diving since in effect you are making a decompression stop.

Have fun.
