I realize I don't understand the "ways of the south", but how is it possible that a person has any say on who pays or doesn't pay for the use of a facility no longer owned by him?

Mike, Doc here! I can not find the article you refer to an the divers flag. Help.
I was a witness to your recent encounter with Connie at Sally's in Ponce de Leon. The cold shoulder you and table of four gave her was astonishing. To her as well as the folks I was with and me.
For some reason I dont think your point will get across. But I agree with you fully. One day I will make it into your shop with Paige.Children, children, children......................
To the current owners of the Vortex Springs business and to Doc and his family.......
You guys better get your differences settled or we are just going to lose another spring to diving. I can't IMAGINE how a sales contract could get so confused, so poorly written, and so convoluted that the current state of affairs could exist.
My store has been using this property and this business since our first day in business. This needs to be settled and settled fast.

specifically references about you and whether you had a part in the creation of the 'dive flag' or not. Just thought you might want to know since the person writing the history doesn't elect to even verify your possible contributions.
Thanks for the link, interesting read.
Name calling does not display this nice guy. I do not seek to "get far", I was looking for information...
U need to confirm so called facts!
SCUBA clubs would be a way to spread the word that Doc wants to say thanks to all the loyal regular divers & instructors who have paid to dive time & time again during the years (35) he owned Vortex Spring.
Thank you is good.
Doc has retired, no dive clubs, not one!
The Free diving is simply diving for the certified diver for FREE.
Just drive into the gate marked Dockery Manor. Don't stop at the dive shop. There is no reason to. Park on the Manor side and dive for a day.
Be sure to have your gear and air. Dive all day or just one dive for FREE!
No Cost will not last forever so don't miss out
Mike, Doc here! I'm new at this and can't find the article you speak of, also I post answers for all of the concerned posters but they somehow get lost. I'll try to do better. Docthat makes sense as I heard that it was going up from $32 to close to $40 at one time more recently.
I figured at that price it was a simple decision as whether to go or not.
Doc, since you're here now... You should go take a look at the threads about who created the dive flag
Hey, Doc, you just need to click on this link: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/non-diving-related-stuff/159447-scuba-symbol-owned-anyone.html and it'll take you to another thread like this one, about the dive flag. There's a big debate over its origin with a lot of people backing you up. I may not agree with some of the things that are going on with Vortex, but if you did (and I have no reason to believe you didn't) create the dive flag, I'd love to see you given the proper credit for it, instead of it going to someone else.Mike, Doc here!
