I was wondering how much air at normal sea level pressure a tank can hold. For example after the tank is compressed, what would be the volume of the air after it was all released. thanks

A normal Aluminum 80 SCUBA cylinder when filled to 3000 PSI contains approximately 77.4 cubic feet of gas.

About 0.4 cubic feet (if I did the conversion from liters properly! :D )

The internal volume of a standard Aluminum 80 SCUBA cylinder is approximately 11 litres or 0.38846133 cubic feet, this volume is of course an uncompressed capacity while the 77.4 cubic feet reflects a compressed capacity.

Hi Kim,

I think jam1n wants to know how many cubic feet of gas are inside the tank when its filled (compressed)?? (Assuming its full...)

But...

Maybe you are right but that's the same answer as the first question. I might have read it wrong but I thought he wanted to know how much space the compressed gas occupies in the tank. I agree though....... :D
