Visiting SoCal 8/8 - 8/10

I am visiting San Clemente/Capistrano Beach from Colorado August 8 - August 10 and am hoping to do some diving. I am traveling with non divers and would love to meet up with some people who know the area.

I am going to try to make it to the BBQ, that sounds like a blast!
Do you recommend bringing mulitiple tanks with me or is it pretty reliable to get filled at oex?
I guess now I am looking for anyone driving from Capistrano Beach that I could car pool with? I'll pitch in for gas!
