Viking Demo Weekend - 21-23 August

If you have ever thought about trying out a drysuit, learning to dive in one or are thinking about purchasing one, here is a great opportunity.

We had a discussion with Viking about putting together some drysuit packages and supplying us with a rental fleet of drysuits. They were open to both ideas and the weekend of the 22nd/23rd August will be the kick-off. They are sending a truck load of suits for us to see and for you guys to try. If we likes 'em, we keep 'em (and if you want one, it will be at a knocked-down price)!

We will be breaking open the boxes on Friday afternoon/evening if you would like to drop by Bruno's Dive Shop for a sneak preview.

On Saturday we will be running drysuit classes throughout the day in Bruno's Pool, with checkout dives aboard The Great Lakes Diver from Port Sanilac on Sunday.

If you want to demo a suit in the pool you are more than welcome. If you are drysuit-certified and would like to take one (or more) for a dive on Sunday with a view to purchasing, you can do that too. If you would like to get drysuit-certified in one of these suits, guess what? You can!

Viking Diving are sending us a bunch of their new Extreme, Protech and Pro VSN dry suits for us to demo over the weekend of August 22nd-23rd. Bruno has been a Viking distributer for over 25 years and Sherriff's Department Dive Teams statewide have been coming to Bruno for repairs on their suits since their inception in the 1980's.

On Friday 21st we will be opening the boxes and getting things set up for Saturday; you're welcome to come along for a sneak preview! On Saturday we will be running dry suit classes all day - several instructors and DM's will be on hand to help out. Classes will be $75 and will last around 4 hours - come in and get materials in advance. Checkout dives on The Great Lakes Diver will be on Sunday from Port Sanilac for the 3-Tank dive at 9AM - $50.

Dry suits from Viking have always been known as tough, but their new ones might even be comfortable too! Viking have also put together some packages for us, which they've never done before - all will include Surveyor (latex) Hood (upgrades available), undergarments (3 piece with carry bag), Dry Glove Cuff Rings installed (if desired)and a goody package with tee shirt, hat & keychain.

We'll be offering these packages in the future but if you get one over the weekend we'll throw in the dry suit class and checkout charter on the boat:

• Extreme - $1,599
• Protech - $2,099
• Pro VSN - $2,249.

* Front zip options are available for an additional $100.
