Dan: Unfortunately I hear that Frank is no longer with us.

I just got a reply email from Frank's wife Dee.... Frank is still in good health at 85 years old...hearing is not so good, but other than that, he is fine.
This is good news to me, because I really enjoyed my time diving with Frank...

For the Jewfish, it could be good, as I can have him answer lots of questions about the jewfish and other species in the 50's.

That is very good news. I apologize for providing incorrect information.

We did a little more tagging this weekend. Shot a very short video from my head cam (Go Pro 3 w/ red filter) so it is a little jumpy, but thought it might be interesting to some.

Basically we dive with a floatball and rope, attach a hook to it, attach a lift bag above the leader, shoot a small fish for bait, put it on the hook, try to swim the bait to the fish and when the fish takes the bait, a diver inflates a lift bag which carries the fish to the surface. At least that is how it is supposed to work. We follow close behind, get on the boat, pull the fish in, collect samples, tag and release..

We went down with a little extra chum to stimulate the GG into a feeding mode on this dive and you can see the fish coughing up a few small mullet that we had dropped.
