Did a solo dive at Ogden Pt breakwater June 28th. Vis was awful. Like diving in split-pea soup. 5' at best, and dark like a night dive. One the upshot, did manage to shine the light on a plethora of nudis, that always makes me smile.

I just heard Seattle is have the same experience. All this sunshine is spoiling our vis.

Dove at the Tsartlip First Nation "Boat Ramp" on Saanich Inlet today for the first time, ever. Vis was 20' in the shallows between the boat ramp and the little point to the left of the ramp, and maybe 25' or so going deeper (max depth 100' today). No jellies to speak of, found a good size octopus in its den and more importantly ... 2 medium sized sunflower stars (hopefully they're starting to come back after the recent die-off).

Visibility was about 20 to 30 feet at Tyee Cove last night.

Had to get below 50 for anything good, but it got a bit better the deeper we went.

Madronna yesterday morning (1000) was about 30 feet in the ebb at 90 feet, shallows was a lot worse. A lot of chunks floating around in the water

Tyee yesterday afternoon (1300) was maybe 20 at best on the flood in the shallows, At 150 it was about 30. Glad to hear it cleared up a bit later in the day at Tyee.
