Victoria Vis conditions?

Visibility was ok at Mckenzie Bight today. 8-10' in the shallows and gradually clearing to about 30' of visibility below 30-40' deep. -Lots of particles in the water at all depths.

Nasty visibility at Willis Point today. A few feet in the shallows and maybe 10' below 100' deep.

Visibility up in Messachie Lake (next to Cowichan Lake) was only 10' today.

Visibility was kind of bad at McKenzie Bight this afternoon. -Maybe 6-8' in the shallows. It gradually started to clear a bit below 20' deep. At 100' deep, visibility was a very dark 20'.

Dove at Oak Point early last evening. Visibility never cleared until about 80 - 90 feet, but by then it had become a night dive Tide was a high flood.

A decent-enough 20' at the end of the Ogden Point breakwater today.

About 30 feet of visibility at Tyee this morning once we got below about 50 feet of depth.

Visibility was great up near Ladysmith today. The shallows were pretty murky, but below 10' deep, it cleared to about 40' of visibility. The dogfish sharks have arrived (I usually don't see them before July). I saw about 10 of them today, which is by far the most I've seen anywhere.

Had a very nice dive at Orlebar Point on Gabriola Island today. Visibility was the expected 8-10' in the shallows, but below 30' deep, visibility opened up to at least 50'.

Dove Madrona last night. Sky was overcast. About 30 feet of visibility once we got below the 50 foot mark. Still soupy in the shallows.
