I am considering purchasing my wife a computer as currently she is renting. I am only looking Oceanic computers because I have a Geo 2.0. Her eyes need the larger display that the Veo's have. She will just be using for diving nitrox/air. I have found the computers for the following prices:

1.0 - $225
2.0 - $275
3.0 - $300

Any suggestions appreciated.

The veo 2.0 is the one you want. It has two buttons to navigate the menu easily.

Wow that is a great deal. I would spend the extra $25 for the 3.0, it has three buttons and is easier to navigate. The 3.0 will also do 2 gases so it can take you further in diving if you peruse deco.

Same here. that 25.00 in my opinion is money well spend on the "back" button- I'm also a fan of Oceanics and have the geo 2.0.

That's what I was wondering. I know she won't use the features of the 3.0, but if it is as easy to navigate as the 2.0, the $25 might be worth it to have the latest. Would you stay away from the Veo 1.0? The only reason I would be considering is the price. Thanks.

I personally would stay away from the 1.0 because it doesn't have the ability to download and even though i don't use that feature now, I don't like the idea of not being able to in the future. Additionally, I HATE the 1 button interface.

Having said that however, if all your wife cares about is seeing her depth and NDL times then maybe the 1.0 is the way to go.

LP always has great specials. I personally don't like the one button computers, either. Appreciate the help.

I already have the Geo 2.0. How easy will it be to learn the Veo 3.0? I know they have different buttons, but seem to be the same computer? Thanks.
