It is a scientific fact that bright yellow fully vented split jet fins are the best!

Is anyone actually using JetFins for single-tank diving? How about some lighter RK3's at least?
Is anyone actually driving a twinset or CCR with freediving fins for "greater speed"? Isn't that what DPVs are for?
Is it true that if you drill any drain holes into the toe box of the JetFins (for shore diving exits) that it totally ruins the ostensibly masterful fluid dynamics of the ancient design?
I've only ever owned and used Jet Fins. I purchased mine new in 1987 when I was certified. Very common fins here (MO and AR) for local diving. Is anyone actually using JetFins for single-tank diving? How about some lighter RK3's at least?
There used to be a very active SB-er who did very deep dives off Florida, dressed Hogarthian in manifolded Al 80's and slung Al deco cylinders, pushing a professional-level video setup, chasing fish. He swore by DiveR freedive/spearo fins.Is anyone actually driving a twinset or CCR with freediving fins for "greater speed"? Isn't that what DPVs are for?

Lot’s of people use Jet Fins for single tank diving…all the time.
My original question was why the vents and how do they work?
I looked at the vents and imagined a downward stroke. What I saw was a lot of water passing through and not doing much.
But hydrodynamics is a whole science so I’ll leave it to the experts to explain.
