Sorry. Evidence is required. Where are the pics?

2th divr:
found my second mammoth tooth in as many weeks

It's soaking right now, will post a pic with the teeth after they are clean.

Sooooooooo.. Mote Marine is reporting it wrong? Someone should let them know, especially if they've been there. Their site, www.mote.org, is still reporting that there is red tide in the area.

I think I'll be heading up there tomorrow anyway... supposed to be cleared up by then anyway.

What time are you going to be there?

I just called Scuba West Diving and they reported that they have not had any problems with a red tide. They are running charters out there today.
Apparently if there is any RT it is so mild it is a non issue...so my dive buddy and I are planning on heading out to VB tomorrow, arriving around 11 am or so at Alhambra.
Those that are going today please keep the reports coming in.

Thanks,
Chuck

Here's the pic of the Mammoth tooth and megs I got Sat.
That's an 18" rule in the picture

Went out this morning water is 82, vis 10-12', seas flat

picked up a 2 1/4 meg and about 200 small teeth

To clear the air, red tide is present at the beach, but its mild as it took a while to notice and once I did we called it a day. Its still bothering the back of my throat.

On the flip side, we found only a few teeth where we were at south of the pier, BUT we did find a MAMMOTH femour and shoulder blade!! pix forth coming! :)

He's not kidding when he says mammoth. This thing is huge. After finding 1/2 meg with Cbulla, Kbulla, and Sharkbaite, I continued on to alhambra where I found in the neighborhood of 300 teeth, and a meg, around 2 1/2" missing part of the top. Found a couple of nice tigers and a pair of snaggletooths. Excellent day. Beautiful conditions. And Colin, really nice to get back in the water with you.
