Sorry to tell you, but Venice is only an hour south of Tampa, you are part of the Tampa area.
and only an hour north of Ft Myers, so part of SW FL:mooner:

We in SWF consider Venice Beach to be a protectorate of our region. We are prepared to defend this claim preferably through diplomacy… by force if necessary.
Being in Venice I consider myself to be SW Florida, not part of Tampa.
