Marxous and I went out along the right wall and the vis for the first 50 feet was about the worst I've ever seen. 60-88 feet broke right out to 15+ foot vis (the best I've seen in a while so I was happy). Dark down there :D

Dark down there :D

And there are monsters down there also, waiting for an unsuspecting diver to come along and.............

Typical,

I get a job, get my regs back, plan to buy a new mask/fins, get myself all ready to start diving Vancouver and the vis around here reverts to something i've previously only seen in murky English lakes. Never mind, at least the dive light won't feel all left out.

Went back to Kelvin's grove on wed/thurs of last week.

terrible vis from 0-70.. amazing vis (though extremely dark) at 80+
like.. vis was probably 40', i was about 30-40' from Dennis and could still see his light.

beautiful.. tons of sea life too. right wall, first entrance.

Ansell Point at high tide last night - about 15' at the surface and amazing vis at depth. We could see clearly as far as our lights could reach.

May 9 at Porteau, we could clearly see the entire stern of the Nakaya while descending the line, I'd say 30'+ in 40ft or deeper water. After swimming back to the granthall the vis went from 30' to ~10' between the stern and bow of the granthall.

On ascent from the second dive we also noticed a little layer between 6' and 15' with quite good vis.

The coastguard had a hovercraft tied to the Nakaya today. They had a single surface supplied diver down there. I'm not sure what he was up to, I saw him only briefly.

Top 5' were less than 2' of vis.

It cleared up quickly and on the Nakaya vis was around 15'. In shallower water near the Granthall there was a lot of particulate, and vis of around 10'.
