It sure didn't wait for me - I was in my late twenties when I got it. Twice though? No thanks. Sadly, they want you to be at least 65 years old in Ontario before it will be covered under our government health plan. I'll have to check out what my private coverage does.

EDIT: For anyone not covered in Ontario it's $158 ($120 USD) per injection (2 needed). My private insurance will cover it once I turn 50 (which, sadly, is not far off).
Medicare doesn't cover Shingrix here, other than the Part D extra after $415 deductible. The best I can find here is $153 USD, which is about $200 of yours.

Total cost in Ontario, without coverage, would be $240 USD. We don't pay for the injection. If I wasn't so close to my 50th birthday when my private insurance kicks in, I'd just buy it. Anyway, thanks for the info. What do you know? Come to a Scubaboard and leave with medical advice ;)

My home clinic just returned my call, and I am approved for the MMR. I didn't know I needed approval, maybe it's to file with Medicare, but I can drop in tomorrow and get that. I'd hate to have the Measles now, so...

Just got my first Shingrix vaccination today at a local pharmacy (CVS) using SilverScript (Medicare Part D) for $63 per dose. My previous Part D was about $150 per dose. I did have to call the pharmacy regarding availability and got the last dose they had. It is in short supply, they order it daily and receive it at random times. Definitely a short supply and they told me to call ahead of time in 2 months for the second dose.

How nice. You must be on one of the higher monthly rate plans.

$30 / month for Part D only - pretty basic coverage since I am on no meds. I had a much lesser plan but the vaccination coverage was bad and it was only a $3 less per month. FWIW, I am also on Plan G (Medigap) and not one of the other Medicare + type plans. Plan G covers me to some extend when out of the country.
