The SmartCom is available with or without the quick disconnect. The o ring leak is extremely mild and sometimes effect the Aladin Air. The o ring that needs to be replaced is not really visible to the naked eye and does take a special tool and all of two minutes for a tech (or someone that knows what they're doing to replace). Not on every unit but doesn't hurt to change it (say when you get your reg serviced). Unless you are nervous about the bubble, absolutely no reason to abort your dive. If your'e the type of person that wants to have the computer with you at all times, without the cumberson reg, get the quick disconnect. It is simple to unscrew a high pressure hose, but that's a tourqued fitting (and measured in INCH lbs) and if you strip the threads in the first stage, expensive.
