I have not heard any news about the sinking of this ship recently. Is this project canned?

"According to a press report in the Cayman Compass, the USS Kittiwake may be sunk off the Cayman Islands some time in 2008 to make a new dive site."

I was told, in July of this year on GC, that it was just down to the attorneys to work on some language in the paperwork. It sounded like it was close to a "done deal." Apparently not. The west side could really use a site like this. I guess the project has been put on "island time".
